Your “how-to” guide on finding alternatives to traditional turf. James Wolfin, an entomologist and Metro Blooms’ sustainable landcare manager, teaches the steps for converting a traditional turfgrass monoculture lawn into a few options that can promote pollinator health, water quality and natural resource conservation.
Learn about plant choice, site preparation, installation and maintenance (with a focus on pollinator lawns). Co-sponsored by Metro Blooms and the City of Minnetonka.

- Sign language interpretation or language translation can be arranged upon request, for in-person workshops, presentations and other events.
- Workshop videos are posted on YouTube, which offers closed captioning in English and many other languages.

- Outdoor programs, such as walkshops and volunteer events, may vary in wheelchair accessibility. Accessibility information will be included in each event listing so you can easily determine whether an event meets your needs.
