Council awards contract for Trail Improvement Project

City council awarded a contract for the County Road 101 Trail Improvement Project to Concrete Idea, Inc. in the amount of $241,032. The project will rehabilitate the deteriorated existing trail along the west side of County Road 101, from Hutchins Drive to Ridgewood Road. The project also includes ADA upgrades, including pedestrian curb ramp revisions and signal modifications.

Council adopts pay equity report

State law requires all public jurisdictions such as cities, counties, and school districts to eliminate any gender-based wage inequities in compensation and submit reports to MMB. All public jurisdictions are required to submit a report every three-years showing the status of their compliance with the law.

 Council adopt Winter Salt Week proclamation

The city is taking a leading role in this national event to bring attention and awareness to the impact of chloride pollution in our lakes, streams, wetlands, and groundwater. Residents have long ranked water quality as a top environmental concern in the city's annual community survey.

Council awards contract for Forcemain Replacement Project

City council awarded a contract for the Brightwood  Forcemain Replacement Project to GM Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $326,018.54. The project will replace an existing sanitary sewer forcemain underneath Oakland Road from the Brightwood Lift Station to an existing manhole in the Linner Road cul-de-sac.

Council adopts tree removal variance

The council adopted a resolution approving a tree removal variance and proposed findings conclusion and order, related to the redevelopment of 16808 Prospect

Council introduces ordinance relating to campaign finance disclosures

City council introduced an ordinance to repeal section 110 of the Minnetonka City Code, related to campaign disclosures. Minnetonka’s current threshold for campaign contributions and disbursements which require financial reporting is outdated. The repeal would defer to the threshold set in state law, and eliminate repetitive information already present in State Statute.
