Council recognizes Sgt. Allen Ringate on his retirement
City council recognized Sgt. Allen Ringate on his retirement after more than 26 years of service to the city. In his time with the city, Ringate made a lasting impact and his legacy of professionalism, leadership and dedication will be remembered for years to come.
Council recognizes police academy graduates
City council recognized the Minnetonka police academy graduates upon their completion of the 2024 program. The department conducts a nine-week police academy every other year to provide insight into how police officers perform their duties and serve the community.
Council approves grant for new police K9
The Minnetonka Police Department was awarded a grant through the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) American Kennel Club (AKC) REUNITE K9 program, which will assist in the police department purchasing a new police K9. Additional costs will be covered by the police department’s operating budget and fundraising efforts through the Minnetonka Crime Prevention Association. The new K9 will fill the vacancy left by recently retired K9, Duke.
