In recognition of its commitment to natural resources and sustainability, the city council adopted Arbor Day and Earth Day proclamations and recognized Sustainable Minnetonka Award recipients.
Council recognizes police department's facility dog
City council adopted a National Therapy Dog proclamation. The day recognizes and honors the thousands of therapy animal teams who serve their communities across the country, including Sampson, the trained therapy dog who lives and works at the Minnetonka Police Department.
Contracts approved for Sherwood and Burch Lift Station Forcemains Improvement Project
City council approved lift station contracts for the Sherwood and Burch Lift Station Forcemains Improvement Project to Meyer Contracting Inc. in the amount of $1,101,258. The project proposes to replace a segment of the Sherwood Lift Station forcemain along Hopkins Crossroad from Live Oak Drive to Timberline Road, and a segment of the Burch Lift Station forcemain along Archwood Road from a manhole south of Crestridge Drive to Wayzata Boulevard North (under Interstate 394).

City council approved a conditional use permit for a detached accessory dwelling unit (ADU) at 5835 Louis Ave. The applicant plans to convert an existing two-story detached accessory structure in the rear yard into an ADU.
