MnDOT will close both directions of Hwy 7 between Vine Hill Road and County Road 101 in Minnetonka beginning at 7 p.m. on Oct. 15. The closure is expected to last until 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.
Crews will replace a culvert that is failing underneath the highway.
Motorists will follow these posted detours:
- Westbound: Hwy 7, to southbound I-494, to westbound Hwy 5, to northbound Hwy 41, to Hwy 7
- Eastbound: Hwy 7, to southbound Hwy 41, to eastbound Hwy 5, to northbound I-494, to Hwy 7
Highway access at Lynwood Terrace and Old Excelsior Boulevard will also be closed.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Oct. 15, westbound Hwy 7 will be reduced to one lane between 101 and Vine Hill Road. This will last through at least 4 p.m.
All traffic impacts are weather dependent. As always, please use caution while driving in work zones, and slow down as workers are present.
