The 2025 municipal general election is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Minnetonka voters will elect a mayor and two at-large councilmembers.

The Hopkins, Minnetonka and Wayzata school districts also have school board positions on the back of the ballot.

What to know

• Hours: 7 a.m.–8 p.m. If you’re in line at 8 p.m., you’re allowed to vote.
• Locations and ballot: Find your polling place and view a sample ballot.
• Registration: Voters can register at the polls with proper identification. Learn more about registering to vote on the Elections page.
• Ranked choice voting: The municipal election will use RCV to indicate your candidates in order of preference. (School board elections do not use RCV.)

Results will be available on the city website once tabulated.

Last chance to vote early

You can also vote absentee in person at the Minnetonka Community Center (14600 Minnetonka Blvd.) through Nov. 3.

Special extended voting hours will be offered:

• Saturday, Nov. 1, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
• Monday, Nov. 3, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Mail-in ballots will also be accepted at city hall up until 5 p.m. on election night.
