  • Council certifies election results
    The city council adopted a resolution certifying the results of the 2025 municipal general election. A municipal general election was held on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 for the offices of mayor, councilmember at large seat A and councilmember at large seat B. Detailed Election results are available on the city website.

  • Council schedules the post-election review
    The city council scheduled the post-election review for Nov. 18, 2025 at 9 a.m. in the Minnetonka Council Chambers. One office and two precincts were selected by lot for review: Councilmember At Large Seat B, Ward-4 Precinct-B and Ward-4 Precinct-D. The review is open to the public and will use the actual ballots cast to conduct the hand count.

  • Council issues Native American Heritage Month Proclamation
    The city council issued a proclamation recognizing November 2025 as Native American Heritage Month, honoring the histories, cultures and contributions of Indigenous peoples. The proclamation acknowledges the city’s location on the ancestral homelands of the Mdewakanton Dakota and Anishinaabe Ojibwe peoples and reaffirms Minnetonka’s commitment to equity, justice and inclusion.

  • Council approves modifications to TIF districts
    The city council approved modifications to the Applewood Pointe, Glenhaven and Shady Oak Crossing Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts to allow up to 10 percent of funds to be retained for affordable housing efforts. The changes are expected to generate approximately $3.3 million in additional funding for the city’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, supporting future housing initiatives beyond 2026.
