The city council introduced an ordinance to amend the existing master development plan for 10350 and 10380 Bren Road W., which would allow the property to be subdivided and the northern office building and enclosed link to be removed. The southern office building and parking would remain. The plan has been referred to the planning commission for further review.
The city council adopted a resolution approving the transfer of $5,165,040 in pooled tax increment financing (TIF) funds to the city’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund to support affordable housing initiatives. The transferred funds will be used to help increase the number of affordable housing units in Minnetonka and advance related housing programs and developments.
The city council adopted a resolution approving guidelines for the Homes Within Reach Repair Forgivable Loan program, which will provide up to $10,000 per eligible household for needed home repairs. The program will use $140,000 from the city’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund to help maintain affordable homes and support qualifying land trust homeowners.
The city council approved:
- the Hennepin County Auto Theft Collaboration Cooperative agreement, establishing a multi-jurisdictional partnership between the Minnetonka Police Department, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and other participating agencies to coordinate regional auto theft enforcement efforts.
- a resolution approving the State of Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children Joint Powers agreement with the state of Minnesota. The agreement allows the police department to continue partnering with other agencies to investigate and prevent crimes involving the online exploitation of children.
