The memorial service for Minnetonka Deputy Fire Marshal Shawn Johnson will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. The Hopkins Center for the Arts is located at 1111 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins. Street parking is limited, attendees are encouraged to carpool. Street parking is available and the Hopkins Municipal Parking Ramp is accessible from 10th Ave S and 11th Ave S. To access the parking ramp, come into Downtown Hopkins from Excelsior Blvd. Mainstreet will be closed.

The family has requested that memorials be sent to the Minnesota Fire Service Foundation, MNFIRE or Tunnels for Tower.

Johnson passed away on Thursday, March 5 following a two-year battle with cancer. He was a 20-year veterans of the Minnetonka Fire Department and served as a paid-on-call member, lieutenant, training captain, full-time fire inspector and Deputy Fire Marshal. He was 61-years old.
