With age comes wisdom. You’ve witnessed a significant portion of America’s recent history and your unique perspective is incredibly valuable. We’d like you to share it. Write a short, one-page story (250-500 words) focusing on a specific moment, era or memory from your lifetime that connects to the American experience.

Minnetonka Senior Computer Interest Group
Keeping up with technology can be tough. Figuring it out with a group of people makes it a lot easier. Our Minnetonka Senior Computer Interest Group is a great group to talk tech with. The group meets on Fridays from 10 a.m.–noon in the Minnetonka Mills Room. Topics range from software to phones, online scams, smartphone hacks and new computer buying tips. Come share your tips, tricks and ideas and enjoy coffee and treats. Everyone is welcome. More information at mscig.wordpress.com.

Former Chief Medical Officer at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, Dr. Phil Kibort, brings us this new series with specialists in different areas of medicine. Each doctor below will deliver two, unique, 90-minute talks on their area of expertise.

Dementia Friends

Adopt a Highway
Help us pick up garbage along Minnetonka Boulevard between Williston Road and Hopkins Crossroad. We provide reflective vests, trash bags and trash grabbers. Meet at the community center. Snacks and refreshments afterward.

Minnetonka Repair Depot
Our handy volunteers are available to try and fix your broken items. The Minnetonka Repair Depot is open for fixin’ every fourth Tuesday of the month from 1-4 p.m. in the Minnetonka Mills Room at the Minnetonka Community Center. Bring your small electronics, appliances, radios, gadgets, small tables, lamps, clothes; torn tarps, etc. and our fixers and menders will sit with you to try and fix it. This is a free service. Registration is not required. First come, first served. Two item limit. This is not a disposal site for items. You bring it, you take it with you.
Classic Car Show
Whether you love vintage, antique, classic or muscle cars, join us for a showcase of pristine vehicles. Enjoy live music by the OutCats Band and treat yourself to a delicious root beer float! This fun-filled event is free, but registration is required by Aug. 14.

Yoga with Nancy Holasek
Nancy has guided thousands on their yoga journey for more than 20 years. Classes focus on gentle movements and breath work. Chair supported yoga consists of seated movements. Intermediate includes traditional poses and participants must be able to get down to and up from the floor.

Line Dancing with Holly Tishler
Holly teaches both modern and classic line dances to a variety of music. Line Dancing I is for beginners and those still getting used to the steps. Line Dancing II is for those who already know how to line dance and are ready to learn more intricate, syncopated steps and turns.

Acrylic Painting: Sailboat at Sunset
Each week builds on the next and you’ll be surprised, how it starts and how it ends. Instructor Terri Berg inspires you one step at a time. This month, paint a sailboat on a lake at sunset using a variety of colors while using both pallet knife and paint brush. All supplies included.

Blood Pressure Checks: Retired nurses volunteer to do these free checks on the 1st & 3rd Friday of the month and the 2nd Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Foot Care: Provided by nurses from two organizations that visit the community center to trim toenails & keep feet healthy!

Mission: To develop and promote programs and services in our community to meet the diverse needs of those 55 and older.
Program Locations: Meet at Minnetonka Senior Services at the Minnetonka Community Center, unless otherwise noted.
Program Cancelation: Withdrawing from a program must be done at least seven days before the start or by the originally advertised registration/cancelation deadline to receive a refund. Cancelations are subject to a 10% service fee.
Trip Cancelation: Refunds only granted prior to the registration deadline or in the event that a replacement is found. * Programs with low enrollment will be canceled.
