Wednesday, Sept. 1 was a night to celebrate in Minnetonka, as the city dedicated its new Police and Fire Facility on the civic center campus. This new facility will better serve the community and address the needs of our growing police and fire departments.
The project included the construction of a new fire station and repurposing of the existing police and fire facility into a remodeled police station.
The new buildings:
- Emphasize the health and safety of public safety personnel.
- Allow us to better serve the community with improved layouts, modern technology and additional training space.
- Provide adequate garage and storage space for emergency vehicles, evidence and equipment.
Many thanks to our current and former elected officials, retired firefighters and city staff, who joined us in dedicating our new buildings. See photos from the dedication ceremony.
We’re excited for you to see them. Watch for opportunities in the future and learn more about the new facility at minnetonkamn.gov/police-fire-facility.
