Minnetonka Police arrest three in connection to property damage crime spree
Investigators connected the suspects to 89 reported incidents throughout the area
Minnetonka, Minn. – Earlier this week, the Minnetonka Police Department arrested three people in connection to a rash of property damage across the west metro.
Investigators connected the suspects to 89 reported incidents throughout the area – including Minnetonka, Plymouth, Eden Prairie, Hopkins, St. Louis Park and Golden Valley – since August. Most of the cases involve broken windows from BBs and metal nuts.
To date, property damage estimates total more than $108,000 at residences, businesses and religious sites. Investigators continue to collect damage estimates for more than half the cases.
On Dec. 12, Minnetonka Police executed a search warrant on a Minnetonka residence where they arrested Phillip Blake Bradshaw, Aspen Elizabeth Fowler and Nicholas Alan Tauzell for criminal damage to property in connection to 42 reported incidents in Minnetonka.
Minnetonka Police's crime analyst used pattern analysis, mapping and database tools to identify the suspects. Detectives conducted additional follow-up that connected the suspects to the incidents.
While executing the search warrant, officers recovered slingshots, BBs, metal nuts, narcotics and a stolen vehicle.
Minnetonka Police is working with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office to pursue formal charges.
