In October 2020, the Minnetonka City Council approved an ordinance to create a new sustainability commission to further the city’s efforts to protect and preserve the environment. The commission:

• Reviews and provides input on sustainability issues
• Acts as a sustainability ambassador to the community
• Serves as a resource for existing city advisory groups

The commission meets monthly or bi-monthly on a weekday evening at city hall.
