Susan Carter was appointed to the Minnetonka City Council in February 2019, to temporarily fill the At-Large, Seat B seat. She was elected to the at-large seat in a special election in November 2019.
Susan currently serves on the Patient and Family Advisory Council for Allina Health and on the Governance and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committees at the Minnesota Council on Foundations. She was also a trustee of the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation Board for three years. Susan received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and her graduate degree in Public Administration from Hamline University.
She is the executive director of the WCA Foundation, a small private foundation improving the lives of women in the seven-county metropolitan area.
Susan and her husband Matt live with their two children in Ward 3 and have resided in Minnetonka for nine years.
