Every property in the city is located within a certain zoning district. Different land uses are permitted or prohibited in different districts.

Zoning map

To learn what zoning district a property is located in, use the city’s zoning map application. You can search properties by address or Property Identification (PID) number.

Zoning ordinance

The zoning ordinance details the city’s regulations for development and construction with specific rules for each zoning district. To review these rules, see Chapter 3 of the Minnetonka Code of Ordinances.

Land use and zoning confirmation forms

If you need an official land use and zoning confirmation letter (zoning letter), download and complete our Land Use and Zoning Confirmation Request and then email it to the planning division. A $100 fee applies; letters are released after payment by check or credit card.
