COVID-19 Face Mask Requirement

People in Minnesota are required to wear a face covering in all indoor public spaces (unless alone) and when social distancing isn’t possible while working outdoors.

This requirement began July 24, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. by executive order of the governor.

City ordinance

The Minnetonka City Council approved an ordinance to require face masks in indoor areas accessible to the public, effective July 23, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. The city ordinance was replaced by the governor’s executive order when it went into effect 24 hours later.

All Minnetonka residents, businesses and visitors are required to abide by the statewide face covering requirement.
