Hopkins and Minnetonka residents can reserve a 20-foot-by-20-foot garden plot at Kelly Park, located at Excelsior Boulevard and Clear Spring Road in Minnetonka.

The cities disc the land in the spring and stake the corners of each plot in the middle of May (weather permitting). Gardeners agree to plant and properly maintain the reserved plot (adequately water, maintain foliage properly and keep reasonably free of weeds). Fencing of garden plots is the responsibility of the gardener. A large onsite water tank is available for use.

Priority for purchasing a 2025 garden plot:

• 2024 plot owners can purchase their same plot on Monday, March 3.
• Beginning Tuesday, March 4, all plots are open to any resident.
• Non-residents can purchase plots beginning Friday, March 7.

Fee: $25. Limit two plots per household. Those purchasing two plots must purchase east-west adjacent plots (not north-south).
