In the Main Hallway: Jane Z.
Jane Z. creates “vivid abstract realism” acrylic paintings on canvas, a style described as “loud yet subdued.” Deeply inspired by nature, exuberant color, and her synesthesia, Jane paints for the pure joy of creating.
Raised in Golden Valley and at her family’s Northwoods cabin, Jane developed a lifelong appreciation for nature. She later spent 31 years as a professional film photographer and 20 years as a color consultant in California before returning to Minnesota.
Today, Jane lives at Running Turtle Ranch in Shorewood, where she continues to find inspiration in the beauty and energy of the natural world.

In the Spa: Judy Cline
Judy is a lifelong artist, originally studying fine arts at Indiana University. Here in Minnesota, she has continued her painting studies with Richard Kochenash and Andy Evansen. Judy has taught art in public schools, senior housing, and nursing homes. Today she has the joy of making watercolors her focus, to paint and to pursue teaching as her primary work.
Describing her inspiration, she says "I paint because the world is so beautiful – because I feel the need to respond to that beauty. I am always amazed at the ways in which my eyes and my mind are opened when I paint. For me, painting is a gift in the most personal sense."
