The city council approved construction of a new fire station on the city campus (14600 and 14500 Minnetonka Blvd.) and repurposing of the existing police and fire facility into a remodeled police station.

Minnehaha Creek Watershed District permit consideration notice

The Minnehaha Creek Watershed Distrcit Board of Managers is considering MCWD permit application 20-035 (described below) and is scheduled to take action on the permit at the following meeting:

  • Thursday, March 12
    7 p.m.
    MCWD Offices Lower Level Meeting Room
    15320 Minnetonka Blvd.

  • Permit application 20-035: The City of Minnetonka has applied for a Minnehaha Creek Watershed District permit for Wetland Protection for the construction of a Police and Fire Station addition to the existing facility located at 14550 Minnetonka Blvd. The applicant has requested a variance from the 40-foot buffer width requirement due to shortfalls in available area to provide the buffer. No wetlands will be altered or impacted by the project.
