The City of Minnetonka is developing a feasibility report for consideration of a new trail along the south side of Ridgedale Drive from Target to White Birch Road.

The proposed multi-use paved trail will be eight feet wide for both pedestrians and bicyclists. The goal is to improve safety, connectivity and mobility along Ridgedale Drive.

The feasibility report will help determine infrastructure needs.

If approved, construction is tentatively scheduled for 2022. Original plans tentatively indicated construction in 2021, but a 2021 water main project needs to be completed first. 

Project updates

Sept. 23, 2022

  • Trail paving was completed this week.

  • Restoration of disturbed areas is nearly complete. The contractor will be seeding soon.

  • The contractor will mill the entire roadway in preparation of an overlay on Sept. 26.

  • Final pavement, signing and striping will follow the milling operation.
